Ants

Identify, control, prevent

-> Identify: Usually, ants are not difficult to recognise; they tend to be black, dark brown, red, or tan in colour. They measure between 1.5 and 13 mm, depending on the species. An ant, just like any other insect, has its body broken into three components, namely the head, thorax, and abdomen.. Ants are social insects that exist as colonies with a single or several queens and vast quantities of workers.

-> Control: To control ants, consumers can use many chemical products. Sprays, dusts, and barrier treatments work well. Nest treatments can also be effective. Colonies can be killed by applying a chemical to the nest. The colony can construct a nest somewhere, and ants have shown it by laying an ant hill; hence, search for ant hills in your yard.

-> Prevent: Remove the food from access by cleaning up crumbs, closing food containers, and clearing water pipes. Plug cracks in windows and doors. Cancel outdoors attractants (which include pet food and standing water).
